 This year's edition of the NATO Tiger Meet took place at Balikesir air base in Turkey between 29 April and 9 May 2005. It was the first time that this event was hosted by the Tiger squadron of the Turkish Air Force : 192nci Filo. Equipped with F-16C/Ds, the squadron is part of the NATO Tiger Association since 1980.
NATO members participating in this event were Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Turkey and the United Kingdom. Additionally, observers were sent by Poland and Slovakia, and by two Partnership For Peace (PFP) nations: Austria and Switzerland.
